Ossera
The village of Ossera, near Tuixent, is something special. It was revived by hippies in the 80s. They made cheese, herbs, painted pictures, carved stones, and much more.
Advice: There are plenty of curves to go there. Stop more often, otherwise there will be nasty surprises
Today it is a beautifully restored village, with a great herb shop (run by an emigrated Swiss woman), a jam shop, a cheese dairy shop (which is now in Jossa, a little further away).
The herb shop has a garden where you can relax and drink tea, lemonade or beer.
If possible and available, try and buy the sheep’s cheese (cheese dairy “Serrat Gros”). One of the best cheeses in the world (World Chees award winning!).
