DESCRIPTION
Our homecinema and HI-Fi is composed of a beamer which allows you to project film or listening music from different sources, like Blue-Ray/DVD, Satelite (Astra), or by using Chromcast, any streaming service.
I would not say it is easy to use, but I will try to do my best to explain how it works.
INSTRUCTIONS
Basically you must understand that having several sources for music or film, and two possible outlets (TV and Beamer), a switch is needed and used to manage all this.
Switch
The Portta HDMI 4×2 Matrix Switch allows you to select input and output channel. (see on to of the Switch where we left some indication).
HI-FI: NAD
The music equipment is a ancient NAD Hi-End music equalizer, with a brilliant sound performance. Please check on remote control which input to be used for any source.
This equipment is good for both, watching films or playing music. Select the best suiting sound type on the remote control (for music, probable the “Ears” Mode will suite best. Just test it!
Beamer: Benq
The beamer must be switched on and off manually. For switching off, you are asked two times. No other settings must be done on the beamer.
It takes some time to get ready when started, so pacience. If no image starts appearing, first check selection of source on Matrix Switch. Sometimes I have noticed that the HDMI Cable form Switch to Beamer is causing that problem. Just move a litte lit and try.
Chromecast:
You most probably want to stream videos form your mobile device. For doing this, connect Chromecast energy supply cable and select Matrix switch channel 1 and “DVD” as sound input on remote control of NAD HIFI. We have no experiance with Apple devices connecting to Chromecast, only using Android devices. You must be in the same WIFI network for using Chromecast. Check the corresponding post for WIFI Settings first.
Playing music with CD :
If you want to listen to music using CDs or DVD, use NAD DVD. This equipment is only used for listening music (CD or DVD), but not for films.
Films with DVD or Blueray:
The DVD/Blue-ray player must be used for watching film on DVD or Blueray.
Satelite TV or Music:
We have satellite receiver. Please use the corresponding remote control for finding your favourite channel. Please switch equipment off when not used. ! Also please do not place anything on top of the receiver. IT GETS HOT!
