Wool Museum

Wool Museum

Situated beside the river, its power source, the Arsèguel Woollen Mill Museum offers a journey back in time to discover what a woollen mill was like, and reveals how this product was manufactured in the past.

The oldest machines housed there are over 200 years old, such as the 1770 Mule-jenny, which is the factory’s jewel, the oak washing machine or the carder made with river reeds.

The carpentry and blacksmith’s workshops, which are responsible for maintaining the machines, are also very interesting.

In the museum shop, you can buy thick socks, shepherd’s blankets and balaclavas made in the traditional way at the old factory.
It’s a tiny musum. I would recommed to follow up to Arseguel and the village Cava just below the famous Cadi Mountain.
