Tuixent (Village)

Tuixent is big village (compared with El Ges ;-); It is about 30 km from el Ges (uphill, follow indications). There are restaurants and bars, a playground a small museum (Museum Trementinaires).
The museum shows the profession of a herbalist, which existed here until the 1980s. Laura’s grandparents were the last of their kind.
What was special about them was that they walked to Barcelona and other coastal towns to sell their herbs and tinctures.
Don’t go there on wednesday, everything is closed!
There are other villages nearby worth visiting, like Ossera, Jossa, Gòsol, the mountain Pedraforca with its fork-like summit.
